He was a member of the Dutch team that won the European title at the 1988 European Football Championship in West Germany, although he didn't play under manager Rinus Michels. Krüzen made his debut for Holland on December 16, 1987, in a friendly match against Greece (0-3). During his professional career he played for SC Heracles, FC Den Bosch, PSV Eindhoven, K.V. Kortrijk, FC Luik, SV Waregem, AZ Alkmaar, Go Ahead Eagles, and AGOVV Apeldoorn. Since the summer of 2002 he is working as an assistant-manager at his former club, Heracles Almelo.
