However I feel that one player is missing and so I decide to create him. (I have never seen him play but only some footage, I based my stats from the opinions of some football greats) Valetino Mazzola was ahead of his time. He was widely regarded as the first complete footballer even before Cryuff, in fact he was known as the Italian version of Di Stefano. With great stamina, he would track back and helped the team to defend. But with the ball, he was the team's playmaker and scorer (once a serie A top scorer) He was the captain of the legendary Grande Torino, the team that won 5 consecutive Serie A titles in a row before they died in Superga. At that time Valetino Mazzola was only 30 years old. His son Alessandro Mazzola was only 6 when his father died, he later became a legend in Inter Milan, but it is believed that he was never as good as his father. Some quotes: “He alone is half the squad. The other half is made by the rest of us together.” (team-mate Mario Rigamonti). ''He could take off like a sprinter, ran like a middle-distance runner and shot with either foot like a striker. He could leap like an acrobat, won the ball back for the defence and then set up attacks which he often finished off himself. He was both a play-maker and a match winner. (Journalist Gianni Brera)'' The greatest Italian player of all time (Italian World Cup winning coach Enzo Bearzot ) Valentino MAZZOLA | 1942-1949 | PES Stats Database (Golden Era Backup)
