Was rather in a similar mould to Steve Bruce, or Jonathan Woodgate. He had exceptional positioning and was one of the most reliable in this category. He had an unsurprising amount of strength and wasn't very fast at all. He was great in the air and hard working. Arsene Wenger likened him, presumably tongue in cheek, to the great Franz Beckhenbauer. Playing in such exalted company, Bould did not always get the recognition he deserved, making his man-of-the-match award in the 1994 Cup Winners' Cup triumph over Parma an honour to savour- almost as much as the belated England call-up which followed a matter of days later. _________________ GoonerLover66 wrote: PMC wrote: I know that Gooner, S-Jsomething and somebody else don't like me but pls play fair :( That's news to me, I've always liked you.
