The man was an extraordinary athlete, he was lightning quick and such a brilliant reader of the game. He just made defending look so easy and effortless. He was also a true warrior as well and as brave as they come. Say if a striker was running at 15mph, McGrath would just step it upto 16mph, and make everything look so easy in nipping the ball back off a striker. Just made things seem so effortless. Culminate this with the fact that he could barely train with the knee injuries he sustained, his alcoholism, his troubled lifestyle (including trying to commit suicide 3 times) The list of players he hes outmarked during a match for 90 minutes include Roberto Baggio, Diego Maradona and one remarkable performance playing for Derby aged about 36, he marked Alan Shearer out of the game while under the influence. _________________ Love United Hate Glazer Paul MCGRATH | 1990-1993 | PES Stats Database (Golden Era Backup)
