Through out his career he scored 207 goals in 199 games (he averaged a goal a game). A goal scoring master class and I think its safe to say no other Peruvian will ever achieve what Valeriano did. Along with Alejandro Villanueva, Teodoro Fernandez and Alberto Terry, Valeriano Lopez is one of Peru’s greatest footballers and one of the worlds greatest strikers as well as a legend in Colombia for the roll he played whilst playing for Deportivo Cali. No disrespect to Peruvian midfielder Teofilo Cubillas of cause, who too was a fantastic footballer.
