They were simply put Morten Olsen's 'bouncers', given the job of disposing of opposition attackers by their physical prowess as Olsen took care of the sweeper job in the defense in the 3-5-2 formation. This could easily lead to the assumption that Busk merely was a stereotypical 'destroyer' type in the central defense but he was actually a quite skilled player who previously had played striker before being converted to a solid defender. Despite never really winning much, Søren Busk still had a brilliant club career with the likes of Glostrup IC, SC Westphalia 04, MVV Maastricht and AS Monaco, being elected captain several times - a tribute to his commitment, leader skills and consistency.
