Although he was far from being the most consistent and was regularly benched, Ray Parlour was a fan favourite through many factors. He spent most of his career at Arsenal where he got banned from a Pizza Hut, scratched his nuts, got taken to the cleaner's by his wife and scored THAT goal. He then left to Middlesbrough where he didn't do much at all and then signed for Hull City, because they love an old player. So what was good about him? Well, he didn't really have any technical ability but he was a traditional workhorse. He would run his socks off and had the best damn work ethic that Arsenal had ever seen. He gave his all and chased everyone, like a dog off his lead. He had a bit of pace in his hey-day and got involved in team moves. He could score some pretty decent goals, as the video shows, with both low drilled shots and curlers from outside the box. Surprisingly, he could actually dribble and made so mazy runs in his time. His problem was the inconsistency of his final ball, sometimes he could supply the best crosses, other times they were just plain awful. _________________ Ray PARLOUR | 1999-2000 | PES Stats Database (Golden Era Backup)
