He was mainly in charge for defensive tasks in his team. Played on the right side, where his task was to stop opposition left winger and cut their attacking centre half's balls in free space towards left winger. Arsenijević played 52 games for national team. His first game for national team was against Hungary (in Budapest). In those days Hungary had one of 3 top left wingers in the world, famous Orth. Orth was truly impressive winger, almost without any weak spots (fast, agile, good dribbler, player that can do anything with the ball). During the first half Arsenijević stopped him completely. Winger couldn't move on the field without being marked or covered by Arsenijević. During the second half he talked with his attacking centre half about the way to shake up that boring kid that's marking him, during the whole game. Little did they knew that Arsenijević knew their language. After the game Orth was so frustrated and mad, that when one child approached Arsenijević, and asked for autograph, he was furious and he spoke on his language to the child: ''You could get autograph if he knew how to write!''. Arsenijević talked back: ''Not only that I know how to write, I also speak Hungarian.'' Orth stood still for a moment and than swear at Arsenijević. After the WW2 Arsenijević was Yugoslavian national team coach along with Tirnanić. In fact, he selected the team that won silver medal in 1952 Olympic Games. He died in 18/03/1987.
