He occupied the position of right defense in the Universidad de Chile football team known as the Ballet Azul, with which he won four national championships. He achieved third place with the Chilean national selection for the 1962 FIFA World Cup. He was considered one of the best right defense of his time, next to the Brazilian Djalma Santos. He played 39 matches for his country beteween 1959 and 1966. He was one of the players invited by the FIFA to play in a commemorative game celebrating the centennial anniversary of football. Considered the best right side of the story of the Chilean selection playing 2 WC and showing a high level ever, stand out as a side that went on the attack (something unusual for that time) and also defended well. Sorry for the english:p _________________ http://partidoscompletos.blogspot.com/ Luis EYZAGUIRRE | 1962-1966 | PES Stats Database (Golden Era Backup)
