He was a mobile central striker who roamed all along the forward line probing for weaknesses and opportunities, punishing any defenses lapses and finding them with a consistent scoring record. Klinsmann wasn't a completly prolific goalscorer scorer but his style of play was exciting being quite impressive technically for a poacher, strong in both feet great in the air. He always was an outstanding scorer in the big international tournament especially World Cup. He played an important part of the West German team at the World Cup finals of 1990 (in which he scored three goals), 1994 (five goals), and 1998 (three goals), winning the World Cup in 1990. He was the first player ever to score at least three goals in each of three World Cups, later joined by Ronaldo of Brazil. He still remains second all-time in World Cup goals scored by a German with 11.
