Julen Guerrero at his very best. Although he was only 24 years, this season was his peak, we was at top form, scored a reasonable amount of goals and was one of Spains most promising players, together with Raul, De la Peña etc. He was called to be one of Spain's best midfielders of all times, but some problems with trainers and stuff led him to the bench, however, he was still considered Athletic's soul, and every time he got up to warm up, the crowd started chanting his name and supporting him. Guerrero scored 18 goals in La Liga with only 20 years, but he was a little green and this season (97-98) was the one with greater succes as he led Athletic to a 2nd place in La Liga and to Champions League. He's remembered as one of the best players to ever wear the red-white shirt along with legends such as Zarra or Iribar... Enjoy!
