His extraordinary speed (recorded 11.0 seconds with the ball at his feet in the 100 meter dash) and the technique had allowed him to launch impressive gallops down the right sideline, giving precision passes that were used by all the strikers who accompanied him or make diagonal often ended up in goal. Part of the remarkable generation of Peruvian footballers of the 70s with Cubillas, Chumpitaz, Sotil, Challe, Cueto, Velasquez and other great figures. Muñante was considered one of the best Right Wingers in the world, his pass was priced at one million dollars (a highest value for that time) and Argentine coach Cesar Luis Menotti considered him one of the 7 best right wingers of football history. Before Peru's game against Scotland, the Scottish team coach, Alistair MacLeod, told to his players: ''Mark well the number seven, the rest is routine ''(and of course, they forgot Cubillas). _________________ Juan Jose MUNANTE | 1976-1978 | PES Stats Database (Golden Era Backup)
