He made his debut as a footballer at BBTS Bielsko-Biala. In the 1977/78 season he moved to the Odra Opole, club where he remained until the season of 1981/82 when he was transferred to Widzew Lodz. There, Mlynarczyk became Champion of Poland for the first time in his career, title wich he would repeat the following season still defending the goal of Widzew Lodz. In the year of 1982 he was in the World Cup in Spain where he was the owner of Poland's goal that won the third place in the competition. In the 1984/85 season he moved to defend the colors of Bastia from France. In early 1986 he came to the FC Porto and made his debut in the National Championship in the Estádio da Luz (stadium of Light) against Benfica where he soon showed his great category. In 1986 he was$$ again a present in the World Cup in Mexico, where the selection of Poland won our National Selection of Portugal, but ended up third in the group stage. In the portista squad Mlynarczyk always had competition from Zé Beto, goalkeeper who shared a triumphant walk up to the Cup Final of European Champions Clubs in 1987, where FC Porto faced the Germans of Bayern Munich in the final, where once again Mlynarczyk showed all its class and was one of the pillars so that FC Porto could reach for the first time in its history the European Champions title. In the following season, 1987/88, the Polish keeper continued to be the owner of the FC Porto goal that won the title of national champions with 15 points of advantage over the runner up. But the biggest victory of the season occurred on December 13 in the distant city of Tokyo on a ground completely covered with snow, where the portistas beat the South American Champions Peñarol, and again with an excellent display of Mlynarczyk. Only 1 month later, would be the holder of the goal of FC Porto that encountered in the stadium of Antas the Dutch Ajax in the second-hand of the European Supercup, Porto won by 1-0, same result achieved in the Netherlands in the first-hand. On that same season, FC Porto won the Cup of Portugal defeating in the final Vitoria de Guimaraes for 1-0 He remained in the FC Porto to finish his career in the 1989/90 season due to a serious injury, not without first seeing his successor, a young man whose name was Vítor Baía, to occupy the place that it had belonged to him in the defense of the goal of FC Porto. After finishing his career as a footballer, in FC Porto Mlynarczyk continued to be part of the team which had the task of coaching the goalkeepers. Some years later returned to his country to perform similar functions, first in the Polish National selection and then in Polish Widzew Lodz. _________________ ''My heart only has one colour: Blue and White!!
