England 33 caps, 9 goals Debut February 6, 1991 vs Cameroon at Wembley Last cap November 18, 1998 vs Czech Republic at Wembley FACTS: Released a song in the 90's called ''Do the Right Thing'' Everybody loves Wrighty! The second highest goalscorer in Arsenal's history and one of the popular ones. The key to his dynamic game, throughout his Arsenal career, had always been superb movement, an uncanny speed of thought and the supreme ability to score wonder goals seemingly out of nothing. The amount of chipped or curled goals he scored was unbelievable. He had great timing and latched onto passes incredibly well, he also formed partnerships with many of his compatriots. He had a lot of pace and was fairly explosive. He could dribble past players and had an assured first touch which helped him deal with crosses and passes. He could actually head the ball, although he preferred to let his feet do the er...kicking. He was determined and Arsenal through and through, he still says ''we'' and ''us'' when talking about Arsenal. This passion often led to him being booked for tackles. He gave the defenders nightmares and was truly one of the lethal strikers in EPL history, it just boggles the mind when you look at how poor his international statistics are! But Wrighty was something special, and it'd take a hell of a player to beat his records..... _________________ Ian WRIGHT | 1993-1994 | PES Stats Database (Golden Era Backup)
