He played 313 games in a 12 years period, becoming the undisputed # 1 in xenezie's goal, until Omar Sánchez took his place in the early 70's. In 1969, despite being far from his top shape, he made a local record by keeping his goal clean for 783 minutes. But his main achievement with Boca was a spectacular save he made during a penaltie in september 1962, against River's Delem, what many consider the save that let the team win a League title With Argentina´s NT he was capped over 40 times, being his performance at the 1962 World Cup quite decent, yet all the blame for Argentina's elimination in the first phase, landed on Roma, and the game against England, in wich he weas beaten 3 times, by Flowers, Charlton and Greaves. By England '66 he was allready 34 years and wasn't the main keeper, yet Argentina reached the quarter finals, to be twhrown out by no other than England, in the feet of Hurst. All these facts made him less succesful at international level, but his sharp reflexes and excentric jumps made him one of Boca's biggest legends under the three posts.
